The snow finally disappeared in this last week (although came back today) so my friend, Lori and I got out with Mac to hike in Squak Mountain State Park. Beautiful day - sunny but cold (notice my cool hat from Nepal that Adam brought back last year). Mac had a great time rolling around in the horse manure (these are also horse trails). He is getting a bath today :-).

What is it with dogs and poop? Toby used to do (probably still does) the same thing. And btw, the website says that Squak is CLOSED. Did you guys hop a fence, distract a guard (that could be interesting!), or what?!
And think about it: Mac goes thru each day without the weight of human history, tragedy, foolishness, greed, envy, and hubris; it must be liberating.
It didn't seem closed when we went.
